The successful candidate will serve as the Senior Windows Network Engineer to provide on-site network engineering support: by serving as Domain Manager for multiple servers in a complex networked environment. Federal Government Contracting Experience Preferred.
Ideal candidate Requirements:
Develops and implements plans for domain and server consolidation to improve efficiency of operations and IT architecture initiatives.
Maintains the primary and backup servers required for users to log into the domain and access domain resources. Maintains the Server Farm.
Implementing NIST server security checklists and DISA STIGs on existing Windows 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 servers in a non-destructive fashion.
Creating and documenting the Group Policy objects necessary to implement Windows server security baselines.
Integrating the NIST server security checklists into server base build process.
Developing and implementing a strategy to regularly mitigate server vulnerabilities identified in Nessus vulnerability scans.
Providing senior Windows server administration experience in a collaborative, team environment. Developing and implementing custom SCCM 2012 deployment packages as needed for software installations and updates.
Installs and configures hardware and software for new PCs and servers.
Troubleshoots complex system problems as necessary.
Monitors file systems and operating system event logs on supported servers and reports any unusual findings to the IT Security Office for action.
Personnel must conform with all applicable US Federal Government policies and procedures.
This person will provide guidance and training to users. Develops and maintains accounting and security routines. Performs studies to assist management in the identification and definition of system and domain administration functions that will be benefited by the application of new IT technologies. Advises on computer requirements and limitations to help user personnel and management in defining problems of related needs.
Makes recommendations to management based on the results of studies. Studies include the evaluation of existing IT systems in light of changing guidance and/or improved IT technology. Meets and consults with programmers, analysts, vendors, and test personnel to coordinate and resolve problems. Evaluates in-house alterations for local requirements to IT systems.
The successful candidate will possess:
BS/BA degree or equivalent of seven or more years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming or Systems architecture
Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
Experience working with one or more structured programming languages
Experience working with design principles and applications.
Must have knowledge and experience with SCCM 2012, NIST National Checklist Program Repository, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Nessus and/or IBM Endpoint Manager.
Require MCITP and/or MCSE certification.
The position is located in the Beltsville, MD area.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
