Successful MD based construction and engineering services company seeks Chief Financial Officer to oversee all day-to-day accounting, project accounting, financial systems, budgets/forecasting and interface with accounting firm in reference to audit/tax issues. This role will report directly to the owner of the company and will be part of the senior management team at the company. Our client has multiple business units and has been growing steadily for the past 20 years. This is a great opportunity to join a best in class construction company.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R and payroll
Manage monthly close to produce financial statements and management reporting
Oversee project accounting and month-end WIP reporting
Assist with developing financial budgets and forecasting
Manage accounting operations staff
Oversee financial reporting and project accounting system (Timberline)
Primary point of contact with accounting firm for audit and tax issues

Position Qualifications:
BS - Accounting or equivalent
10-12+ years public accounting or related corporate experience
Must have significant project accounting/construction experience
Must have 5+ years managerial supervisory experience
Must have solid Timberline financial systems experience
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
Also must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
