Triage Nurse, RN
Make a Positive Difference:A Triage Nurse with MedStar Visiting Nurse Association makes a positive difference by providing information, guidance and support via telephone.
Position Details:
Answers telephones during regular business hours providing requested information, guidance and support as needed.
Monitors insurance authorizations for teams and communicates with Operations Directors and reimbursement coordinators on a weekly basis.
Obtains laboratory results and orders and distributes appropriately to Operations Directors.
Participates in recruitment, interviewing, hiring and staff retention.
Attends scheduled in-services, clinical meetings, patient conferences, etc. as requested.
Works collaboratively with al VNA leaders to improve patient and associate satisfaction.
Requirements:
Current Registered Nursing License in appropriate state.
Two years current experience in home health care.
Ability to communicate with patients, their families, physicians, and a variety of Agency personnel.
Computer literate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
