Job DescriptionThe Field Service Technician is responsible for the management, scheduling, and completion of all service and warranty related work.
The Field Service Technician must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of the branch team.
This position will interact closely with the Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Field Service Team.
ResponsibilitiesOrganize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
Ensuring the timely communication and completion of service and warranty work with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfactionWork with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Branch Manager to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects as neededTroubleshoot and resolve solar electric warranty and service issues that arise with:
modules, inverters, monitoring and balance of system componentsInvestigate and mitigate any reported roof leaks including thorough documentation:
complete roof leak checklist, photos and written observationsCommunicate with the Construction Supervisor, and Engineering Team members to resolve any redline issuesReceive, update and complete Field Service Dispatches (FSDs) with Service Dashboard in SalesforceMay lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practicesMay support the on-boarding and training of new members of the field service teamAssist with other branch tasks including inspections and site audits when assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma is required, college degree is preferredValid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred.
Depending on state requirements an Electrical Journeyman certification or license may be requiredKnowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience requiredMust be a motivated team player, looking to succeedPV design or PV electrical experience is preferredExcellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProfessional appearance and interactionStrong computer skillsAbility to drive to multiple sites throughout the day.
Must maintain a clean driving record with ability to pass driving background check.
Must be 21 years of age to qualify as an authorized driverAbility to work independently and make sound decisions with regard to safetyAbility to work safely in a branch/warehouse environmentAbility to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of workAbility to interact with coworkers and participate in meetingsPhysical DemandsAbility to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balanceAbility to climb laddersAbility to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
